Version 0.5a is the first iteration of the fifth major release of the Super Smash Flash 2 Demo. It was released on June 10, 2009. Naruto was added to the game, alongside Waiting Room , which replaced Test Stages 1 and 2 . Mario and Kirby were also recolored to match their colors in Super Smash Bros. Brawl . Characters also started using official renders for their HUD, instead of just their sprites.
